Urban Anthropology and partners offer the following programs, services, and activities in the Park Neighborhoods (Lincoln Village/Baran Park).


The Milwaukee Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative

Partners:

Greater Milwaukee Foundation

The Greater Milwaukee Foundation provides the bulk of support for the Milwaukee Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative, at both the over-arching initiative level and the neighborhood organization level.

Neighborhood Improvement Development Corporation

The Neighborhood Improvement Development Corporation funds neighborhood level Pride Projects, including small home improvement grants and block- and neighborhood-wide projects (community gardens, farmer’s markets).

Residents looking to participate in projects should contact Urban Anthropology (or their local Healthy Neighborhoods organization) for more information.

Cherry Home Realty LLC

Cherry Home Realty acts as a consultant to Healthy Neighborhoods organizations and to home-buyers looking at homes in the Healthy Neighborhoods. They will host Healthy Neighborhoods “Realtor Certification” trainings beginning in spring 2010.

Home-buyers looking to purchase in Healthy Neighborhoods can work one-on-one with their very own real estate consultant, free of charge.

Housing Resources Incorporated

Housing Resources Inc assists Healthy Neighborhoods organizations in organizing neighborhood real estate tours and home-buying workshops. Housing Resources Inc services are free of charge for Milwaukeeans thinking about purchasing a home.
