Internship/volunteer opportunities for 2008

For local people (in Southeastern Wisconsin)

  1. Work on studies of local cultural groups (conduct ethnographies, including observation, interviewing, and archival research)
  2. Work on studies of local neighborhoods (conduct ethnographies, including observation, interviewing, and archival research)
  3. Join a team of other interns/volunteers working on similar projects, and learn from experienced anthropologists as you go (added features are background on US ethnic groups, proposal writing, interviewing tips)
  4. Work at our ethnic public market
  5. Work on developing any of our new museums

For non-local people

  1. Transcribe interview tapes
  2. Conduct data analysis/learn to conduct data analysis
If you wish to volunteer only, you will be asked to do something for the organization before you receive any staff training time.
