Urban Anthropology and partners offer the following programs, services, and activities in the Park Neighborhoods (Lincoln Village/Baran Park).

Neighborhood Gardening
Urban Anthropology has worked with Milwaukee area partners to provide free flowers and plants for residents since 2008.
Starting in 2011 UrbAn provided neighborhood residents with low cost annuals and perennials for yard landscaping through the "Bloom and Groom" program that takes place mid-May. We expect to continue this program in 2014.

Beautiful Blocks IV Program
This program was a neighborhood beautification program that had the following components:

•The Family Tree program that added new trees to Kosciuszko Park. The purpose of the program is to support Lincoln Village waterways through tree addition and educate the public by linking ancestry to the environment.

• The Youth Art Pillar, that utilized the talent of students at three local schools to create that represents important symbols and events of the Puerto Rican, German and African American populations that have settled in The Park Neighborhoods.

• A “Native Couple” park bench created by local artist Juan Flores that utilized funds from the Wisconsin Arts Board.

• Victorian Gardens.  UrbAn worked with a neighborhood horticulturalist to plant two semi circular gardens are on either side of the famous Kosciuszko Monument in a prominent area of Kosciuszko Park.

The entire project was introduced to the public unveiling ceremony held on June 5, 2011 during UrbAn’s annual meeting. Over 200 people attended this ceremony.
